T is Served: Issue 3

Hi Everyone,

It’s my turn this month to share with you a little bit about myself and a little about our world. If you don’t know me already, I’m Josh. I am one of the owners and stylists at Cast + Court. I have a love for people, food, music, art, business, and I’m a dreamer. I also work in the financial sector with Community Futures and am the current president of the Slave Lake Chamber of Commerce; in other words, I wear a lot of hats…

But we all do, don’t we?

I’m learning this year that I and many of my clients take on a lot in their lives, but I don’t think it means that we can’t be effective or enjoying life just because we’re spread a little thin. Some of us thrive on staying busy. My only rule is I have to have passion for what I do, otherwise I don’t see the point (Jeff fights me on this when it comes to cleaning and paying bills…lol). Our passion is what can help get us through the challenges we face. It sounds mushy, but I equate passion as a form of love rather than intense emotion or obsession. Love is for better or worse, patient, kind, true, not boastful, or arrogant and is never ending. Love is commitment, can be hard work, can stretch you thin, but to me is so worth it. So, I say love what you do, do what you love, and love what you will. My advice, if you are a crazy overachiever or dreamer like me, is only take on the projects you love in life (yes, we still need to clean and pay the bills, but I mean beyond our immediate obligations); our time is precious.

Every month each of us picks a product we love, here is mine. Eminence Hibiscus Ultra Lift Eye Cream, this stuff is my life saver when I’ve been burning the candle at both ends (which by now you know happens a lot). If I don’t look tired…it’s because of this cream.
